From the Superintendent

From the SuperintendentWelcome to Xenia Community Schools. I am proud to lead this innovative and inspiring district. Xenia has high quality educational programs, excellent teaching staff, rigorous core curriculum, and 4,500 motivated and capable students. Every core subject area has been updated with new curriculum and resources, and every student has access to technology through our 1:1 laptop initiative.

Our school district consists of eight schools: Xenia High School, Warner Middle School, Arrowood Elementary, Cox Elementary, McKinley Elementary, Shawnee Elementary, Tecumseh Elementary, and Xenia Preschool. We also provide an alternative pathway for education at the Xenia Virtual Academy located at the Board Office.

Xenia offers many extra and co-curricular opportunities for students. The district promotes and supports high achievement with technology courses, gifted programming, advanced placement and dual enrollment courses, and many elective course offerings that allow students to explore their academic interests. We have done a lot of work to provide students with an excellent education. In 2017, our students' test scores went up in 16 of the 23 tested areas.

There are a lot of great things happening in Xenia Community Schools at all grade levels. We'll be sharing stories from our classrooms and communicating about the district's challenges and opportunities. I believe that open and full communication is key to building trust and collaboration, which will help us reach our goals faster. We're working to add information and resources to this website. If you have any feedback or suggestions you can email them to us at
