April 2021 Announcements

4/8/21

  • Do you like to garden? Do you ever wish you had a "green thumb"? Would you like to make Xenia High a more beautiful place? Well then the Xenia High School GARDEN CLUB is the right place for you!!! The first ever meeting of the garden club will be held on Thursday, April 15th, after school from 2:30pm until 3:30 pm. We will meet in Mrs. Allen's room (B238) to start, then move outside to start planning our planting projects!
  • Powderpuff game is this Friday. It will be the Seniors vs. the Junior class, the Sophomore class, AND the freshman. Are the seniors able to hold off this fierce competitors? Get your ticket to the game and find out! The game starts at 6:30 PM. You can buy your ticket today or Friday at lunch. Tickets are $3.00 We will also sell tickets at the gate.

    Attention Powderpuff players and coaches: There is a MANDATORY meeting Friday before the game from 5-6 pm at the stadium. You MUST BE AT THIS PRACTICE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GAME. If you are not at this practice you will not play. Make sure you also buy a mouth guard. If there are any questions please speak with Mrs. Petraiuolo.
  • Thank you to everyone who signed up for the blood drive coming up this next Monday April 12. You will receive a pass during first period on Monday,that will indicate your donation time. Please leave for your appointment at the assigned time and not earlier. Be sure to eat a big breakfast and drink plenty of water. You will also need a picture ID when you sign in. If you have any questions contact Mrs.Wavra.
  • Attention all Model UN members. Please bring your chromebook to the meeting today! Not a member of Model UN? You are still welcome to attend the meeting. We would love to see you there!
  • Freshman, Sophomore and Junior powderpuff players please pick up your shirts at the end of the day from Mrs. Petraiuolo's room B112.

  • Today is the last day to secure your spot at the Xenia Spring Blood Drive, happening next Monday April 12th. You must be 16 years of age and weigh at least 110 pounds. Permission slips are available in the main office, guidance office and outside of Mrs. Wavra's room c114. They are due today by 230pm. Late permission slips will not be accepted this time due to coronavirus restrictions. Sign up today to save a life!
  • The 2021 Walk the Red Carpet Xenia High School Prom will take place on Saturday, May 8th from 8-11PM at Schindler Banquet Center which is located on the Xenia Legacy Campus. In order to comply with state and local guidelines, masks will be required at all times and there will be a limited number of tickets available for this event. Seniors will have the opportunity to begin purchasing tickets before school or during lunch on Wednesday, April 7th. Juniors will be eligible to buy tickets beginning Monday, April 12th. Tickets will be $20 each. At this time, out of school guest and underclassmen guest tickets are not available. Each student is permitted to buy one ticket.
  • Don't forget! Today's the day! Gamers Club is back! Come by the cafeteria after school today to see what it's all about!

  • Attention all GSA members...
    Our next GSA meeting is TODAY, after school, from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm, in Mrs. Allen's room (B238) AND virtually via Google meet (link is on the GSA Google Classroom page). We will be working on club t-shirt designs!
  • Have you wanted to get more involved with events at Xenia? Then come to the next student council meeting this Wednesday at 7:10 AM in the library. Everyone is welcome. If it is your first time or your 10th time we are always happy to have you there! See Mrs. Petraiuolo with any questions.
  • PowderPuff tickets will be on sale tomorrow during all lunches. Tickets are $5.00 a person. You can buy a ticket for your bo for sugar, your grandma and mom! Tickets will be sold until Friday. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Petraiuolo.

  • Please announce last if possible: And now the moment you have all been waiting on, the winners of this years Leukemia and Lymphoma patients for pennies fundraiser. In third place we had Mrs. Wavra's class. In second place with $527 we have Mrs. Allen's class. And finally in first place and the winner of most improved class we have Mrs. Misamore's class with $641! Thank you to all the classes who participated. We could not have done it without you!
