Welcome to Xenia Community Schools! I am proud to lead this innovative and inspiring district — one that’s committed to delivering high-quality educational programs, supported by a dedicated teaching staff, a rigorous core curriculum, and nearly 4,000 motivated, capable students.

As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, this year we are launching a new five-year strategic plan — Destination 2030 — which outlines clear goals for academic growth, student well-being, staff support, and community engagement. You can read more about this at the links below, exploring our new Portrait of a Graduate and Destination 2030: Every Student, Future-Ready.

Our school district consists of eight schools: Xenia High School, Warner Middle School, Arrowood Elementary, Cox Elementary, McKinley Elementary, Shawnee Elementary, Tecumseh Elementary, and Xenia Preschool. We also offer the Online Edge hybrid learning program for grades 6-12, a self-paced online option that blends online coursework with the continued in-person support of Xenia teachers, as well as opportunities for peer interaction.

Our academic foundation is strong and continuously evolving, as we continue to create new paths to success for Xenia students. While we know that every student will have a graduation plan that will help them navigate required courses and learn what they need to know to be ready for the world, we want our students to graduate with a plan for themselves! Whether their plan involves continuing their education, heading into the workforce, or aiming for a military career, our students will have every opportunity to explore those options through relevant and effective instruction in a safe and supportive learning environment.

To that end, the district regularly reviews and updates core subject areas. Over the past three years, all K-12 core curriculum has been assessed and revised as needed to best meet the needs of today's students. Additionally, through our 1:1 laptop initiative, every student has access to personal learning technology to support their success.

Beyond the classroom, we’re proud to provide a wide range of extracurricular and co-curricular opportunities. Our district supports high achievement through technology programs, gifted education, Advanced Placement and dual enrollment courses, and a diverse selection of electives that allow students to explore their interests and talents.

There’s so much to celebrate in Xenia Community Schools, and we’re excited to share those stories with you! You can stay connected through this website, my regular e-newsletters, and our social media channels. Be sure to subscribe and follow us online!

Open, honest communication is essential to building trust and moving forward together. I welcome your thoughts and feedback — please don’t hesitate to reach out by email to info@xeniaschools.org or call 937-376-2961.

Together, we’re building a bright future for every student in Xenia.
