Social Studies students have been hard at work designing their very own Ancient Greek city-states — known as a polis — complete with culture, government, economy, religion, and geography. Each team’s project showcases a unique world that proves our students don’t just learn about Ancient Greece, they truly understand what life was like back then!
To celebrate their hard work, students participated in a Gallery Walk, where they had the opportunity to tour and connect with each other’s Greek polis projects. They shared feedback, asked thoughtful questions, and admired the creativity and detail that went into every city-state design.
In addition, students got to create their very own Greek pottery! They discovered how each vase told a story, from honoring the gods to showing scenes of everyday life. After researching ancient designs, students created their own masterpieces, blending history and creativity.
