New Visitor Security Protocol to Begin in January
The safety and security of our students and staff is our top priority, and we want families to feel confident in the trust they place in our schools every day.
Beginning in January 2026, Xenia Community Schools will implement a new layer to security protocols in our buildings. Currently, all visitors must present their ID to staff before entering the building or picking up their student. Moving forward, the district will use Navigate360 to ensure that visitors have been screened prior to entering the building.
What to Expect?
On arrival, visitors will use a kiosk located near each entrance to scan their driver's license or other state-issued ID. Once cleared, visitors will be issued a visitor pass which must be worn visibly during their entire visit.
Please note that this screening is not a complete background check, but does ensure that all visitors are checked for any internal restrictions, including custody orders, as well as the sex offender database.
