Xenia Preschool Goes for Gold at Winter Olympics
Xenia Preschool was filled with Olympic spirit last week as they hosted their very own Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony!
Over the last few weeks, our young athletes have been hard at work learning about the history of the games and the many different countries that compete on the world stage. Each classroom then "adopted" a country to represent during the festivities. To get ready for the big event, students also put their skills to the test in a variety of winter sports stations, including ice skating, ice hockey, curling & skiing.
In true Olympic fashion, we celebrated every student’s hard work with gold medals at the opening ceremony, where students charmed the crowd of family and friends with a spirited rendition of "I’m a Little Olympian Going for Gold!" and performed a classic Torch Relay, carrying the "flame" with pride to kick off the games.
We are so proud of our students for their curiosity about the world and the great sportsmanship they showed to their teammates.
