She shows kindness through friendly words, cooperative play, and by including others. Everleigh contributes to a warm and productive classroom environment and is a wonderful role model to all of her peers.
Arrowood Elementary: Kalem Key
Arrowood Elementary is so proud to announce Kalem Key as our April Kid of Character. Kalem is in the 2nd grade in Mrs. Cravens' class. She writes, " Kalem is one spectacular student. He works so hard, pushes through even when it's tough, and has great success. Kalem is a great friend to all. He is a joy to have in class. We are so lucky to be a part of his academic journey! What a kid!" More of Kalem's outstanding qualities are his ability to stay calm, to be a good listener, and his awareness of other's feelings. We are so thankful for you, Kalem.
Cox Elementary: Dashaun Churchman
We are proud to recognize Dashaun for demonstrating exceptional responsibility and the kind of integrity that makes our school a better place. When faced with a difficult moment, he showed the maturity to put the well-being of others above all else. By following his intuition and reaching out to trusted adults, he proved that he is someone who can be counted on in any situation. His actions perfectly exemplify what it means to be a Cox shining Star and a truly reliable friend. We are honoring him today for his big heart, his good judgment, and his commitment to looking out for those around him. Congrats Dashaun.

He shares his thoughts and opinions in a humble and respectful way that makes others feel comfortable. Parker is open and accepting to all his classmates when working with a partner or in a small group and never leaves anyone behind on an assignment. He always shows respect to his teachers and follows all directions when given. He takes accountability for his choices and is always honest with others. Parker looks at the bigger picture and evaluates how his choices could affect others before acting or speaking. He has continuously improved and shown growth throughout this school year by learning from his mistakes and others around him. Our class is a better place with Parker! Tecumseh is really going to miss him next year :)

Daylea truly loves to learn and works hard to learn new things, even when it might be hard.
Daylea earned April’s Kid of Character because she displays all the characteristics outlined in Xenia’s Portrait of a Graduate. She is kind and respectful toward peers and teachers and responsible at turning in classwork on time. She thrives with challenging tasks and perseveres with creating strategies to problem solve through those tasks. She is the student-leader that her classmates should seek to follow. Daylea is an all-around respectful and authentic kid and because of this, she is an excellent nomination for April’s Kid of Character.

Bogan always shows the greatest deal of respect to the classroom and guest teachers, setting the example for others. He exhibits responsibility by always completing his work and is always supportive of his peers.
Bogan is a compassionate and dependable friend, known for his loyalty and kindness. His caring nature, patience, and personality allow him to work well with anyone in the classroom, as he always respects the opinions and abilities of others.
We are certain that Bogan is destined to do great things. His tireless work ethic, passion for learning, sense of responsibility, and dependability will certainly make him successful in life. We are all very proud of him and want to congratulate Bogan on being selected as Warner Middle School’s Kid of Character for the month of April.

It is with great pleasure that the 6th grade Team Ambition teachers recommend Ella Parsons as the April 2026 Kid of Character. Ella is an amazing young lady and proves on a daily basis that she deserves this honor. Since transitioning to Warner, Ella has shown tremendous ability to acclimate to her classes and new environment.
Ella was chosen to represent our team because she exemplifies Warner’s Pillars of Success. She has a wonderful work ethic! She always does her best in class by consistently producing exemplary work, turning assignments in on time, and participating in class discussions. She is kind and respectful to everyone, both peers and teachers alike. Ella is always willing to help other students who might be struggling. She is a leader in groups; she listens to others ideas and supports others when they are confused or makes mistakes. Ella not only takes responsibility for her actions and her academics and works hard to make sure that she is living up to her potential, but she comes to school excited to learn. She makes sure to let her teachers know that she appreciates the time they put into creating engaging lessons. Ella is a hardworking student and a pleasure in the classroom. She is prepared to learn each day and perseveres through every challenge presented to her.
Ella is the kind of kid that does that right thing, without the expectation of getting any recognition. Her kindness, helpfulness, endless positivity, and work ethic make her a great nomination for Warner’s Kid of Character. We are all very proud of Ella as she deserves this honor.
