Warner Musicians Shine at Music in the Park: Band and Choir Take Home Honors

Our Warner musicians had a stellar showing at the Music in the Park festival on Sunday, May 2! Both the 8th Grade Band and the Choir represented XCS with talent and professionalism, bringing home impressive awards and making lasting memories.
8th Grade Band
The band delivered a powerful performance, earning 2nd Place overall in their category. The judges were treated to a diverse program that showcased the group's technical range, including “Forward March!” by Ralph Ford and “Rock Solid” by Scott Watson.
Warner Choir
The Warner Choir also hit high notes of their own, securing 2nd Place in their category with a prestigious rating of Excellent (the second-highest rating possible).
A special shout-out goes to Bailey Brehm, who received the Best Solo Vocalist award for a truly standout performance.
The choir’s setlist included: “Kaleidoscope Color” and “What It Sounds Like”.
Beyond the trophies and ratings, the trip was a resounding success for these young musicians. From the thrill of the performances to the excitement of the performing on the big stage, the students had an incredible time bonding and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
