Historic Night at the Shoe: Xenia Marching Band Returns to Buckeye Invitational
On Saturday, October 3, the Xenia High School Marching Buccaneers returned to the Buckeye Invitational at Ohio Stadium for the first time in 33 years, performing their 2026 show: The Resistance - Rise Up.
Selected following a competitive application and audition process, the Marching Buccaneers were one of the 44 participating groups from across Ohio — taking the field at Ohio Stadium for the first time since 1993! This significant event was the Buckeye Invitational's first OMEA-sanctioned marching band event, and XMB participated in the festival track for show bands and HBCU-style dance units.
You can still catch future performances at the Tri-County North Band Bash on Saturday, October 10, and at Xenia's own "Last Blast" Music Festival on Saturday, October 17 at Doug Adams Stadium.
