Get your tastebuds ready! Next week, our elementary cafeterias will feature “Exquisito Ensalada,” the winning dish created by McKinley 5th grader Morgan Ewry at last spring's Buccaneer Junior Chef competition.

After winning over the judges in May and presenting his dish to the School Board members at this month's meeting, Morgan’s creation is officially making its lunchroom debut in our K-5 buildings every day next week (Monday-Thursday). This colorful, healthy salad blends crunchy beets and juicy mandarin oranges with an unexpected, delicious citrus whipped cream topping.  

Morgan was recognized this past week at the October Board meeting, where he received a certificate of recognition for his accomplishment  from Dr. Lofton and Mrs. Shari Jones, Student Nutrition Coordinator.
