Fueling Futures: XHS Coffee & Careers Chats Kick Off for 26-27

On Friday, October 9, Xenia High School hosted its first Coffee & Careers Chat of the year, bringing students together for an inspiring morning of career exploration, connection, and real-world insights.
The Coffee & Careers Chat series is designed to give students a unique, low-pressure environment to explore potential career paths, ask candid questions, and discover what daily life in various industries truly looks like. By connecting students directly with local professionals, Coffee & Careers Chats demystify professions, challenge student assumptions, and spark interest for unexpected career paths.
Our first event focused on the world of Finance, featuring guest speaker Adam Betzelberger, Owner and Managing Principal of Ridge & Republic Financial in Beavercreek. As a former high school teacher turned entrepreneur and fee-only financial planner, Mr. Betzelberger shared his career journey and opened students' eyes to the diverse, human side of the financial industry.
"I thought his job would just be heads-down work at a computer. Learning that most of his job is talking to people really intrigued me since I love getting to know people," said Isaiah Musgrove, XHS Senior. "I appreciate all the people who worked to make an event like this happen. It has definitely made a change in what I plan to do in the future."
We want to extend our thanks to Mr. Betzelberger for sharing his time and expertise with our students, as well as to the faculty and staff who worked behind the scenes to make this year's kickoff event a resounding success. Stay tuned for details on our next Coffee & Careers Chat as we continue empowering XHS students to explore their passions and shape their futures!
